A UK singer with serious soul, Bluey Robinson is a rising star in the music world. Born to a Swedish mum and British/Trinidadian father, the family moved to Hackney from Sweden when Bluey was three months old. He began his musical journey at the age of three when he stumbled upon his mum's vinyl collection. Spending hours sat by the turntable listening to Bob Marley, Jackson 5 and Otis Redding records, Bluey began singing along to the sounds of the '70s and early ‘80s.
A natural performer, in his youth, Bluey explored his acting and theatrical talents, landing the lead role of Simba the West End production of The Lion King. This led to further roles alongside Jessie J in Whistle Down The Wind. He also featured in the hit UK TV show Eastenders briefly as Billy Jackson.
After signing to a major label and parting two years later, Bluey
took some time to try his hand at a other things , while always writing and recording. Now as an independent artist, he’s back
with his first mixtape “ TheRedRoom” produced by childhood friend Zeeko, and featuring guest appearances from UK talents such as, Steff LDN, BentoBDA and WSTRN.
"I'm influenced by a lot of classic, throwback music. but I'm also someone who’s grown up and lived all over London, I want to blend it all together," says Bluey.
The 24 year-old is now a captivating and charismatic artist whose songwriting encapsulates a throwback feel with a contemporary twist. With millions of views on his YouTube channel and the reception of Bluey's music has been incredible. He’s collaborated with Labrinth and Dallas Austin and toured with the likes of Justin Bieber, Alicia Keys, D'Angelo, Trey Songz and recently completed his own sellout headline tour in the UK. Bluey is moving forward in
a positive direction and is an artist to keep your eyes and ears on this year.
